Any idea why my son's computer has justed started to turn itself straight off a few seconds after being turned on? It isn't sending any signal to the monitor either.

No. Its a home build. It worked this morning. Just been moved to use the internet in my house as they are not online at home.

Is it just cutting power during boot up?

It's the ram that's broken. Anyone got any ddr2 ram lying around?

Yep, it doesn't even get to the BIOS.

He'll try reinserting it.

(He seems to have a vague idea what he's talking about, when did that happen? )
