|
Dk weight, natural fibres, washable. In some sort of variagated colours for knitted dungarees for Jenna. Mum has a pattern she used to a make us that I've been supposed to be buying yarn for for ages. But I keep getting distracted by lovely hand dyed stuff that isn't washable or dk. I thinking maybe a variegated purple, or some kind of multicoloured rainbow of unspeakable tastelessness. Hey, it's for a toddler.
Any suggestions? |

You could contact the Natural Fibre Company www.thenaturalfibrecompany.co.uk
I visited their factory yesterday as I want to organise a wool event with them - very impressed! |

Is not variegated, or indie-dyed, but have you tried Patons Diploma Gold DK, which is machine washable. 55% wool, 20% nylon, 25% acrylic. Widely available.
I knit socks with it and it wears well. if I'm goign to put that much effort into knitting stuff, then I want to be able to machine wash it without any hassle, |

Thank you all, lots of lovely things there. I like the bamboo, but I think it would be too drapey - I think the dungies need something lighter with more bounce. I dnt usually knit with wool (I find it very itchy) so I'm feeling my way a bit.
Which reminds me...... |

Which reminds me - what was that scarf pattern you knitted which alternated silk and wool?
Pretty please |
