Hadn't seen this thread till now, just worked my way through it all. Looks stunning mate. Last time I was aware of this was when you asked me if I could supply vast quantities of Ash timber planks for flooring in about 2004/5.

I'd love to have another go but next time on a much smaller budget, just to prove to myself you can build something great for an affordable price

We managed to end up with a lot of English timber in the house, mostly from Essex but some from lincs. I'm guessing you don't have the woodland anymore?

When I say this I mean built by a builder, not self built. I've seen some great self built houses that have cost next to nothing as long as you don't factor labour in
