Was someone after Large Fowl silver wyandotte?

There is also someone selling a pair cock and hen of the gold variety on there as well if anyone's looking. Plus there are a few rare breeds and weird and wonderful varieties for sale atm on there in general ...just in case anyone is looking |

A month or so ago, these youngsters were really looking scruffy but fresh grass is definately the best tonic that you can give to your birds. A month on from being put on grass and things have really changed.
The Light Sussex are really looking smart and the black Marans are certainly coming on too. |

Being stuck indoors with an injured knee is not good news. I have spent the morning drawing plans for next years breeding pens.
A few of this years birds.
Next years Exchequer Leghorn cockerel.
Pullets for 2014 breeding.
Light Sussex (thanks to Bodger) for laying not breeding
Running at present with a Silver Duckwing Welummer cockerel

they look splendid Sandra
i have a broody duck - didn't realise she was laying until she went missing and I found her sitting on 19 eggs. obviously this is the wrong time of year and I should take them away... but as June turned out to be the wrong time of year this year, we are (stupidly I spose) letting her continue.... |

@CIG you couldn't do anything else, it would be mean to disturb her.
A muscovy? I haven't given up hope yet- do they graze much? |

not lots - they seem to keep the grass down without demolishing it . The Aylesbury ducks like water lot more and seem to turn their run into a flattened earth run - but the muscovy ducks dont seem to do that - apart from the guano pile under the perch - they like to perch outside - good thing too keeps them safer from dogs and foxes.
btw my folks are still hoping to re-home their trio of Muscovy ducks. Just saying.... |

Since being sheep and goose free I seem to have spent far too much time cutting grass - just wondered if 'good at keeping grass down' could be added to the 'for' side of my list |
