My usual spot for finding Ceps is under quite a bit of water at the moment....has this killed any chance of anything growing this year or is there still hope if it dries out ?

I think you've more or less told us.I think the mycellium may have taken a knock and if the waterlogging isn't too long it may come back-maybe at worst miss a season.Ceps do not grow where the water table is high or where there is seasonal waterlogging ,they like dry wood edges.

Thanks Bubble, this spot is usually very dry but there is nowhere for all the heavy rainfall to drain to - i think i may have to dig a few escape routes
