I'm going to have to cull or rehome Disabled Duck. She's looking after herself alright, but she's getting really upset that she can't run round the garden as fast as the others - well, she CAN go as fast as them, she just keeps boinging off trees and falling over as she tried to keep up. I don't have the time to care for her properly - she needs a small-ish enclosure, possibly inside a bigger one with more duck-friends.

If anyone wants a pet duck and wants to take her on, let me know relatively soon-ish .

Could she come up here and keep Esme company?

I think Mandy and Sean maybe being involved in transport - but I'm not sure whether they know yet

I was going to leave it as a beautiful surprise

I reckon we can drop her off on the way - makes more sense.

Let me know timing when you're on your way and I'll get the kettle on. Will have to move the duck house again!

Do you think I ought to take another duck off you to make up a threesome? Not a drake though - I don't want duck sex and babies all over the bloody show...

I think that would be a good idea, in case disabled duck becomes dead duck.

If Sean's involved in the procedings it's likely to become disabled duck a l'orange.

She's a white indian runner - not really worth a l'orange-ing. And I think it's changed to a blue-badge scheme now, anyway

So what about an extra duck? Have you got any more worthy ducks that I can adopt?

I don't have any spares left - I have one out on loan as a concubine to Gardening Girl and with that one, I've got exactly the numbers I need.

I wonder if Crookham Farm has any spares? She is very well endowed in the Duck Department.

Will she be able to use Esme's lap pool do you think? There *is* a ramp up to it...

Yes, I should think so - she's using ours okay and can get out by herself, just not in.

I'm so pleased you're having her, MJ. I know I'm being ridiculous about this

If it's not a rude question may I enquire into the nature of Disabled Duck's disability?
