Oh, I'm full of faith. I'm certain I know the outcome.

Make soap?

This seems to be the only suggestion on the table that is anywhere viable at this time...
Any recipes or top tips?

I find it very puerile when people suggest a trawl of an internet full of b******t rather than asking an established base of knowledgeable people.

If you've nothing helpful to say, then why bother?

Give a man an answer, he comes back with another question. Give him the power of looking on a world wide base of knowledge, and he can grow and seek for himself.

It provides independence and counters laziness.

Remind me again, what is the purpose of a discussion forum?
Other than to find idiots to argue with.

For discussing things.

And, after a month of starting the thread there is very little. On the other hand, the link provides a wealth of information that might be useful and valuable. Why don't you look at some of it?

Most of the links I have looked at seem decidedly uncertain: people reporting on what they have tried, rather than anyone who actually knows what they are doing.

Still, it doesn't look difficult, and the worst that can happen is dreadful chemical burns.

Several of my friends burn theirs quite successfully.

They take length of cardboard carpet tube (free from most stores), mix the Glycerol with hardwood shavings, compact into the tubes. Saw into logs/Glogs. Add these to a hot fire, needs to be hot first.

We used one on a fire in Penzance at a meet up and it burned for about 3 hours, producing a great deal of heat. It was about a foot long and 4-5 inches in diameter

the glycerol to ch4/h2 route might fit in with the biogas plans

best avoid the pneumonia bugs and try the non pathogens

at 20 quid a ton that might be a commercial business worth exploring

I think about 20% in the mix improves digestion.
