Got to be worth having a play with...
How does one go about procuring specified bacteria?

We used to give them away free. Drop the authors an email, explain your situation and they might send you a stock.

I think there might be some rules about posting bacteria... especially if they're a bit close to pathogenic ones...
Good idea though, but perhaps I'll read the article properly first...

It's done all the time. I haven't read so I don't know about their pathogenicity, in this case.

I don't doubt it, but that doesn't mean there aren't rules to ensure it is done responsibly.

some they tried are harmless to people and critters ,at least one they tried can make folk very poorly and although it works the extra biosecurity etc aint worth the bother imho

there are enough issues with mucky feedstock/flammable gasses etc to add pathogens to the factory

The one that caught my attention produces hydrogen and ethanol.
Trouble is, ethanol probably has the same problems that we were discussing on another thread and, although I know it is the fuel of the future, I don't actually have any use for hydrogen, nor can I think who I could easily sell it to.

iirc h2 will power an internal combustion engine so heat/electric /pto etc etc

I think you cannot sell H2 for that. The Welsh AD centre runs vehicles on it, but has to give it away, as it's illegal to charge for it, for road use, at least.

I think it would be easier to persuade the glycerol to burn and run an external combustion engine off it.
