About 1000 web searches per day lead to downsizer!

Quite a remarkable statistic Surprised
Jamanda

Do you mean that 1000 people a day make their way here via a search engine?
mochyn

Goodness me.

We're famous.
jema

That's what the stats say! Hard to believe but they say it.
sally_in_wales

wow. Why arent we swamped with new people, though I suppose the articles account for a lot of it.

Is our front page nice and clear and happy and up to date? I always log straight into the forums so I have no clear idea of how a visitor first sees us Embarassed
Penny

That's true, I never really see the front page unless I'm looking at articles Embarassed That's a lot of people - can you tell what search terms are bringing them to us Jema?

As we are talking 5816 different strings, it is actually a hell of a spread. The top 20 probably misses the point as it might well be 1000 variations on a single theme actually doing the business for us Sad
Cathryn

What's bero recipes or clarence bekker or kina lillet substitute? Am I on the right site? Confused Smile
Jamanda

The front page is upto date thanks to Jonnyboy.
sean

Bero recipes is people looking for an old cookery book that we had a thread about.
Dunno.
It's a French bitters/vermouthy thing that Cab started a thread about.
sally_in_wales

ros

Can't see the one mum had though, but I can remember it being a staple when I wanted to bake as a small child and was sent to pick out a recipe

That's only the top 20, compost could be what's leading everyone here but we can't spot it unless I can find a way to see deeper.
Nick

That's an awful lot of kettles being boiled with our name on them. Won't someone think of the children? Sad

Laughing Laughing The world just doesn't know what it's missing!
Behemoth

I'm disappointed there wasn't a search by a Mr T Blair looking for ideas to resolve the situation with Israel.
sean

You don't know that there wasn't. He may have reckoned that if you can get them round a table plaiting garlic everything else will fall into place.
Chez

There you go, Sean, you could use that as your .sig. "Plaiting garlic in the name of International Peace".
Treacodactyl

I bet if we had a few topics with big brother or nude in the titles there'd be far more hits.
Chez

"Big Brother Contestants Make Nude Compost"?
Treacodactyl

Perhaps a thread about growing sweetcorn, squashes and beans in a raised bed and call it "three in a bed romp"?
Lorrainelovesplants

I almost wrote an thread on 'dominant cocks in the henhouse'. Im sure that would get a few hits! Laughing
Fee

That's impressive Very Happy

It was the only cookery book my Mum had! I particularly remember learning to bake a fruit cake from it when my Mum was out one day Laughing

The one Mum had isn't there either Sad In fact, I believe it still lives in the same drawer.
