Air dried ham help part 2.

Actually, it's not so dried now.
The latest one was very, very salty. I have soaked it for 24 hours, changing the water frequently. What do I do with it now.?
Rob R

When I had one like that I ended up boiling it to remove more salt & used it as a cooked ham.
Snowball

That's what I thought. Sad
Rob R

On the plus side it was a perfectly good ham.

Oh, what a shame after waiting all that time. If you do decide to use it as boiled ham, might it be worth cutting some off for use as lardons? They would freeze fine and I bet they would be great in small amounts for flavouring.

I hope ours doesn't turn out too salty. Surprised

I have done quite a few now. This is the first one that I have messed up, so hopefully yours will be okay.

Any idea what you did differently from usual?
Snowball

No, this is the first time I didn't bother writing anything down. Sad
