All in one printerMy mum needs an all in one, as her printer has eventually died.
Any recommendations.
She wants me to go this afternoon to get one.
I was thinking HP inkjet, but can be guided otherwise.

I went for a Canon PIXMA MP510, and I have no complaints. I haven't really given it a bashing though, just occasional scanning and printing.
The MP610 is the current model I think.

Thanks
What are the cartridges like, all in one too for the colour, or individual.
(What type of photos do you want from me, you haven't answered my last e mail! )

I like the epson ones cos most will also print to cd / dvd so you dont have to use the crap labels. Sep inks & cheap inks too (about £3 each color)

All depends on price and size.
My Epson CX11N all on one is very chunky and very expensive by the inkjet standard, but I do quite a lot of printing and after 18 months despite low toner warnings it is still producing perfect prints.
The same can rarely be said for inkjets.

I would imagine she wants a new one - and for the price they are these days who could blame her.
However, I have an ageing HP Office Jet Pro 1150C. It's in perfect working order but over ten years old. The downsides are its printing resolution isn't that great, and cartridges are likely to be dearer - possibly somewhat dearer - than those for a new machine.
Those concerns aside, if you want it, it's yours for free.

I would recommend looking at the size and price for the cartridges, most printers are about the same price but the cartridges can vary a lot.

That was a lovely offer, but I had already left then. I chose a HP in the end, and it looked easy to use. That is the main criteria!
It is all set up, so here is hoping.

Not the BrothertMFC-425-cn I have no idea what's wrong with is, but you should hear himself cursing at it! We just bought a dell, but it's still in it's box at the bottom of the stairs.

No problem... but it's reminded me of another place I can offer it
