Another day another CepHad a quick look in the New Forest on Sunday. Did not get a great deal - a couple of Bay Boletes, Charcoal Burner, Deceivers, a few Blewits (all the new leaf litter did not help) but did get this Cep.
Not as perfect as the one from last week, but it's still a Cep and maggot free too. Final Cep of the season?

That's a cutie!
We've had none this year.
Just a few field mushrooms and that's it. Very disappointing.

Hello Ksia,
Interesting, it has been a poor Autumn season here this year too, especially for Ceps. When I've found them I've made the most of it and really savored each one.
Bingo, this Cep and the last one (which really was perfect) was found not a million miles from the great Fly Agaric spot. I think I've found a good Cep patch for next seasson.
