Any problems with downsizer?Just a bit of feedback - over the last day or two downsizer has periodically been unavailable (unable to find site) for anything between 20 secs or two to 3 mins. It then fixes itself
I have checked and during that time i have been able to browse wide variety of other sites with no repeat of the problem that only seems to affect downsizer
it might be something in the bigger internet
but if anyone else has had the same might be worth Jema investigating

There appears to be a problem with DNS.
FAIL Mismatched glue ERROR: Your nameservers report glue that is different from what the parent servers report. This will cause DNS servers to get confused; some may go to the IP provided by the parent servers, while others may get to the ones provided by your authoritative DNS servers. Problem record(s) are:

All those nameservers should have the right records and have been like that for years.
I did see some issues myself yesterday, but thought it was just my local lan being a pain.

Just wondering...several times today there have been no postings for a very long time, half an hour or more. There seems to be many people on line. Have people experienced problems with postings?

haven't had much to say personally....

I've noticed some rather slow patches of the last couple of days and also a weird problem where the "new posts" colour doesn't go away from some threads even when I've read the latest post. For some reason it's dpack and Tahir who seem to leave a "live" post even though I've read it. ( does that make sense?)

spose trees are live posts

Yes, I've seen a few places being slow.

I,ve had quite a few sites fail to load repeatedly & untill I "flushdns" they would not work.

c:\>ipconfig /flushdns
It clears the local DNS cache and can solve some web site connection problems. Doesn't hurt to do it if your PC has been running for some while, left of standby for a day or more for instance.

it'd doing it again today,
anyone know why the new posts flag doesn't go from some threads even after I've read the latest post?
Originaly it was with just one or two specific people, this morning it's a random selection

That's usually a cookies thing. If you clear 'em from your 'puter it should all go back to normal.

no, I tried that - doesn't make any difference

Dunno then.

Cookies can be pretty random and the new post flagging system which uses cookies is pretty abysmal.
