Anybody here keep Boer Goats?

I'm thinking of getting some, advice/ comments welcomed..... Very Happy

if you look on the website for fenland goatkeepers & smallholders site you will find the details of mr & mrs tiff hall they breed these goats and go to the country shows to display the goats and explain the keeping of them.

I think they're a lovely breed - although lovliness may not be the best reason for buying a goat.

They're supposed to be tasty too, a gooder reason in my book.

That was my thinking too! Very Happy Plus, unlike sheep, no fly strike, another major plus. I've been to see some in Wales, we are in Oxford, and know there are breeders dotted all over the place but just wondered if anybody here had any practical experience with them. Breeders are, by the nature of things, always enthusiastic about their breed, so sometimes gloss over difficulties. No criticism intended here, I do it myself! Wink
