Anyone grow Calaloo?Howard has just been given a load of Calaloo seed by a work colleague.Having seen the leaves - dark green round the edges and a pinky purple centre, they look suitable for potager planting. When do we sow seed, and could we sow some now for a crop before Autumn? |

You'd manage if you sow now, but I'd wait till Spring for a bumper crop next year. In the mean time, eat plenty of good king henry and fat hen, which for my money are indistinguishable from calaloo (once cooked). |
