Anyone heard of Broadberry?

Based in Middlesex and Delaware. http://www.broadberry.co.uk

They're offering a dual-processor 2GHz Xeon quad core (yes, 8 cores total) with 16Gbs ram for around £2500 inc VAT.

When I spoke to them yesterday the chappie answered the phone still laughing from some office joke; I emailed them with a detailed spec query shortly thereafter and they have yet to respond. Not a promising start...

Maybe the BBC and MoD like that kind of approach?

Dunno yet - I've only glossed over things really thus far. Detailed study from later on today.

My prices were based at looking a several 15,000rpm disks in the servers, the key in my view to a fast web server rather than what I gather you want.

I don't need that sort of disc spec; processing power is more important to me.

I'd probably come if you were Smile. I think it's quite charming.

Women in IT, we need more.

I thought that Flat Food was the way forward for IT Professionals? So it can be slid under the door in to the darkened room where they are staring at the screen?
