Arghhhhhhh the other one's got fleas!!!

Having left it out in the cold this morning for a few hours, it has then spent the rest of the day in the fridge.

Came to clean it out......fleas!! and not just one or two.

It is now hanging outside the back door......

How do I get rid of them...or do I ignore them and trust they staw will the poult.....in the bin bag!

Thoughts... Crying or Very sad

Turning into a very unsuccessful morning!

Won't they stay in his overcoat when you take it off? I should think if you do it quickly then there won't be much chance for them to get in to the meat. And you're going to cook it anyway ...

I suppose it depends on your judgement call about how healthy it is as a whole. I don't think ANY animal/bird is completely free from parasites - but it depends whether they are within acceptable levels.

I only ever eat bunnies that other people have deaded ... so I kind of assume that they only give me ones suitable for eating and I don't worry about it. Hopefully someone who knows what they are talking about will be along soon ...

My dead rabbit's got fleas.

Keep quiet or everybody will want some.

(They've all got fleas).

Every furry beast has fleas. When you kill the beast the body cools and the fleas move out from next to the skin to the ends of the hairs, looking for a new host. That's why you think the creature is unnaturally riddled with parasites.
