Artichoke questionI grew Jerusalem artichokes this year and got a great harvest from them.
I have really enjoyed the taste of them, but the side effects are so extreme that I don't think I will be replanting tubers next year.
My question is do Globe artichokes cause the same kind of unpleasant effects.

Don't think so, globes are thistles, Jerusalems are sunflowers

It's the inulin in jerusalem artichokes that causes the problems isn't it? I've never known anyone who had an issue with globe ones.

On the bad news front, however, you'll have Jerusalem ones again next year. And the year after. And until you move.
