ATBOk, I have been looking for different courses, the type the ATB used to run.
I can't find any details of ATB (Agricultural Training Board, in case I'm showing my age that much that no-one else has heard of it!!))
Does it no longer exist or are my google skills non-existent!
If it has gone is there a national scheme anything like that which provides training courses relating to agriculture?
(sorry not sure which forum to ask in!)

I think it still exists in Wales - Judith has mentioned it to me. But that's not a great deal of help to you ...

Thanks for a reply!
I haven't heard anything about ATB for years, but I've not had reason, til recently, to be interested. I was surprised when I couldn't find it easily on google!

It does, indeed, still exist in Wales. We're going to our local ATB dinner on Saturday evening. Cant' think of a contact, though.

As Chez says, it's still quite big in Wales, but the individual groups arrange their own meetings - a bit like a rufty-tufty version of the WI. As it's run by farmers, finding out where, when and how often they meet can be a bit of an arcane challenge, though.
You could always try asking at feed merchants as a starting point.

Thanks for the replies!
I'll ask around. The local one used to be quite professionally run (got to say that, my mum did it!!) but I don't know who took it over in the last 20 years or so!!

I think it's Lantra now.
Here you go:
Email: nto@lantra.co.uk Email: connect@lantra.co.uk
That's from the HSE website.
