Basketry questionI've got an old Ali Baba type linen basket 'stitched' togeter with what looks like really thin strips of bamboo, about 6mm wide, which is wearing out in places. Does anyone know where to get this from and any tips on how it is threaded through the coils?
Hate to throw it out for the sake of a little repair

Tristan: It's probably ratan.You should be able to get it from craft shops, or via the net, but you could replace it with an interesting string or cord of some kind, and using a long upholstery needle. Get creative and colourful!
