Bee suit for a childThis is a long shot but does anyone have a child's beekeeping suit that they want to sell? I'm looking for something suitable for 7 and nearly 5 year old. If anyone sees a used one on ebay or anywhere else please let me know.

I would strongly advise buying the proper headgear - a hat and veil can be bought all-in-one. The clothing part is less vital, and a boiler suit should work OK, but it must be white. Make sure it has strong elastic on the cuffs and probably the ankles too. Gloves necessary as well, with long cuffs to tuck the sleeves of the suit in.
Would advise buying it, especially for a child.

I'd think a **zipped** white boilersuit would be anexcellent starting point. It shouldn't be difficult to find elasticated (or velcro?) 'garters' to close cuffs and ankles.
There are plenty ways in which an adult hat/veil might be adapted to fit a smaller head.
But what of the neck seal?
Just tuck in a long veil, or make a seal with velcro?

It would need to be sealed. But I've found a place selling bee suits for 6 year olds (£60), our club has one childs suit that we can borrow when we're on site so I might buy another one to keep for ourselves and then donate it to the club when outgrown, they really could do with having more than one child's suit as it's a rapidly growing club.
