Bees for sale in Carmarthenshire

There is a gentleman on the pagan beekeepers site who is acing to give up because of allergies - now I would love them but they are down near Carmarthen and I simply can't ge down there until we come down for Sally & Gareth's wedding party!

He's just looking for a fair price to them

Two hives in use, new frames last year (collected from swarms and fed over winter). Six supers in all. Feeders. Spare hive and nuc box unused, some unassembled frames, sundry bits and pieces. Also have a honey straining device and 5-gallon tank, plus 2 medium suits, one almost new. There's even another swarm in the garden now (unless they've flown) from somewhere else I think, maybe sitting in an upturned log basket...You're welcome to come and have a proper look at it all.

(I'm off to doctors shortly - though maybe not technically allergic I seem to get a bad infection after being stung.)

Location is Blaenberem, SA15 5BL, phone 012698 870336

Is it the bees that are pagan or the keepers? Laughing

(Sorry Jo, it just made me chuckle)

Well I would be offering around £250 for the lot as an opening bid, in reality I would think they could go for around £400-£500 going on the price of nucs

Razz Well you are supposed to ask the wild bees for the knowledge of the ancient Druids!

Thanks Jo. It's a lot of money if the badgers then destroy the hives. I have mine out at the moment just in case a swarm comes along. It still smells sweetly of cedar and honey so I will see if it the badgers bother again and be patient. Mary-Jane

Hmmmm...very tempted. Could we chat about this Jo? joanne

Go for it M-J, I am in no particular rush to re-stock with bees this year as I'm hoping to be moving in the next 12-18 months but I'd have taken them if there was no-one else Smile

Oh and M-J if you'd like any help just shout Smile Lorrainelovesplants

A nuc down here is £190 - thats for 5 frames of bees, brood and a queen.

Ive just bought a new floor for one of my hives.....£40ish.......
so dont underestimate the demand and price of what is quickly becoming the new chickens.
