Bees - one of manyA couple of weeks ago my son got a five frame nucleus...the start of our beekeeping venture.
Photo of one of them drinking beside the sheep's water trough

I read that as five-bee nucleus, which I thought was starting impressively small!
Great picture BTW.

Excellent news.
We are going to have to start a virtual beekeeping club if this continues.

I'm learning slowly and more I learn the more fascinating they are.I have my jacket, gloves etc. ready to 'help' but with the weather being as it has been I haven't had a chance to look inside yet !

You will love it - it is awesome. Not scary at all and it is not like they come rushing out in a big plume trying to sting you. I was kinda surprised at that first time. It is utterly amazing how hard they work and how well they look after each other. I hope you get to look inside soon.
