Bookshelf reorganisation

Hmm, I could do with more bookshelf space in this office...

In the meantime however, I've had a bit of a reorganisation. Relegated to the spare bedroom are various reference manuals for various microprocessor instruction sets (page turners Laughing).

In their place, various books relating to Java engineering.

Are you overloaded with bookage?

Nope, it's what comes of owning a bookshop and Father's frequent comments of "no wonder we never make any profit..." Smile

However, just pinched one this morning called Seaweed. About foraging. There are several cookery ones I also fancied... but as also pinched HFW Fish one recently I resisted. Fiction gets kept if I think it's good, otherwise it gets circulated amongst family and friends. I find I don't keep many.

this is about half the adult books in the house, paperbacks are double layered on the shelves. plus the kids have at least another full bookcase worth between them.

how am i doing?

Yeah, I need another clear-out really, looking up at the main computer bookshelf, I can see several books I no longer have a need for. I mean, when was the last time I needed a Pascal book? Laughing Not sure when Digital Signal Processing was last looked at either!

And how didn't that get relegated to a box in the loft when we moved here 4 years ago, along with the Windows 3.1 reference manual among others that were still cluttering up the shelves until then Wink

Perhaps I'll sort out my office proparly at the weekend, seen as Paul's working. I might even finish decorating Surprised Doubtful, but you never know!

I really need to sort out my CD's in here too, they used to be all neatly arranged in rows, now there's piles of them here and there where I've been looking for something, and they're all messed up Embarassed Could probably put several onto DVD/backup drive.

I've had a minor change of plan. Z80 and 6809 books have come back in, Quark Xpress 4 manuals relegated to a different room Very Happy.

Blimey - looks a bit like my friend's house in Abingdon. He has bookshelves full to the brim in every single room. But then again he's a complete hoarder.
