Breeding Ewes WantedDoes anyone on here have any commercial breeding ewes for sale?
Would have to be within reasonable distance to Carmarthen, say within 50 mile radius.
We use Texel tups which we either come from our own breeding lines or are purchased from our ex showing days colleagues flocks.
We no longer run a pedigree flock and are no longer MV registered, or members of the NSP, but we still only like strong, healthy animals, preferably those who enjoy being spoken to and having their ears tickled when they come in for routine tasks, rather than being chased by mental collies and equally mental owners (I jest but hopefully you will understand the point).
We are not looking for many, but could do with another 10 or so.
Usually all done and dusted by this time of year, but this year we just did not know whether to give up completely or not, and have decided that we still want to have sheep about the place whatever happens.
So anyone who may be able to help either post or pm with details, thank you.
In lamb or empty, ewe lambs would be OK but we do not put the tup to ewe lambs ourselves prefer to wait until they are yearlings.

We've got some ewe lambs and ewe hoggets (a couple of which lambed last year; oops, one way to find out that the bucky ram wasn't firing blanks!) - Welsh mule dam, Lleyn sire - if you're interested. About 20 miles from Carmarthen.

Got southdowns in lamb and empty.
Can get good strong charolais x welsh and pure welsh around here reasonably priced.
Why not go to pedigree sales, can pick up good stock cheap at the moment.
