calor electricooookkk, been intrigued by the new calor ad for burying their tank, and generating your own electricity - anyone know how this all works?
we have just emptied ours and gone with a local agent - much cheaper, even in smaller bottles, than flogas bulk, who we were using, but this could be a reason to go back to bulk
cheers

no idea have seen the add though.
we switched from flo gas to solid fuel about 7 years ago as it was so expensive then heaven knows what it would cost us today

The reccomendation I have seen is that
1 LPG is expensive
2. You are tied to one supplier as they own the tank
There will be some mini gas fired CHP units avalible soon, but they are mainly suitable for older properties with a large heat load, otherwise you wont get a sensible amount of electricity.

Yep John has just about covered it.
Do your sums very very carefully.
The actual amount of elec tends to be quite low.
The install costs high & the running costs as high.
