Can pork meant for ham and bacon go in the freezer?I'm getting the pork back tomorrow and my curing salt STILL hasn't arrived 
so if it's not here by tomorrow would it be ok to put the joints meant for bacon and ham into the freezer, then when the curing salt's here, defrost and THEN cure?

I have 2 books on curing and both seem to think it is fine.

Yes, it will be fine, but you should ideally defrost it slowly in the fridge, rather than on the worktop.
