Can turkeys and ducks be kept together

Of the 12 turkey eggs I got from e-bay only two were fertile and so far only one has hatched (not due until tomorrow so I still have hopes for the other one). If only the one hatches it's going to be a bit lonely in the brooder all on its tod. I've got some call ducks due to hatch on Monday. Anyone see why I couldn't keep them together in the same brooder?

I know that turkeys and chickens together are a no-no, but wondered if the same applies to turkeys and ducks.

Mine do.

That's the solution then. Solitary turkey and any ducks that hatch are going in together.

I bought four turkey poults at the weekend and the hatchling will go in with them eventually, but for the short term it can have some little ducky friends.

Turkeys are so laid back, they don't seem to mind who they bunk up with!

I had turkeys which as a adults were extremely savage with ducks. They managed to corner some and quite literally killed them. As young ones they should be fine but as they quickly outstrip the ducks keep an eye on them.

Cheers Bodger. They'll only be together until the turkey chick is big enough to hold its own with the larger turkey poults. The call ducks are destined to be garden ornaments, with the occassional slug hunting patrol through the veggies.
