caravan on blocks? My caravan is now not going to go anywhere again, currently it is on it's own wheels and the four metal legs. Any advice on getting it up on blocks, and joining a wooden structure on one side to replace the awning?

Cut some tree trunk sections of nearly the right height to fit under the structural points & then use two opposing hard wood wedges cut at a shallow angle. Use two hammers to tap the wedges together to raise the van. Go round & round slowly adjusting them. Oh & get one under the solid bit near the wheel so that the wheels are off the round too.

a couple of chunky hydraulic jacks are very handy
allow for settling and readjust
timber is good ,use stuff that will last longer than the van
be careful ,working with big heavey stuff needs care

Screw (axle) stands would be better than hydraulic jacks (they all seep in the end). You can get special tall ones for static vans. Dont forget to fix it down to the ground as well.
Oh & put a skirt round it. Will improve your comfort no end.

We used axle-stands for our static, and they seemed to work pretty well.
