careers?Hi Everyone, new to this so bear with me!(please).
Does anyone know of positions exsisting within the property industry where they solely employ people to show clients around properties? im wanting to change careers and would like to get into the property sector. comments welcome, many thanks,Ade.

I've always been shown around by actual employees from the branch, but it may exist.

Most of the housebuilders have people employed on site to manage the marketing suite that they have on site for any big development. That involves taking people around show flats. I'd have a look on the websites of people like barratt, bellway, david wilson homes, taylor wimpey, crest nicholson, linden homes, laing homes etc as they may advertise vacancies on them. If you need a list of housebuilders, there is a Federation that might have a list of members available.

Welcome! I think that some estate agents employ people to do that - at weekends etc.. I'm sure I've been shown around by people who literally man the phones in the office and then pop out with a key and show people round places.

I'm not sure this is the right time to switch into the property sector. With house prices stagnating or falling I would expect the house builders and estate agents to be cutting back on staff.

Probably, if you are good at sales, you might get a job on site selling new builds from a show home?

Or, possibly, getting rid of all their full-time staff and taking on temps ...
