Catering business ideaDon't actually want to do this myself, but I was musing on the idea at the weekend and thought I'd post it up in case anyone fancies using it:
Vintage Catering:
Freshly prepared food themed for your retro party:
Serve the 1940s-style food Dad will remember from childhood for his 60th birthday party
Rock around the clock with a 50s menu
Swing through the sixties with seasonal delicacies
Celebrate the seventies with a traditional children's tea party
Or would Nostalgic Nosh be a better name?
The general idea is to offer a catering service with a nostalgic feel. Vintage, retro and nostalgia seem to be very popular these days and it could be tied in with the local/seasonal theme too (there wasn't much mango coulis on the 1940s menu ). You wouldn't actually serve bottled fishpaste sandwiches or spam fritters, but recreate the menus of the relevant decade with modern ingredients.
Just a thought . Do you think there might be a market for it?

There is certainly a thriving market for earlier historical food, so I can't see why 'within living memory' would be any different.

I can see the retro party themed around significant birthdays would be popular.
or the wedding anniversary?

I can see that appealing!

maybe as a side line to an existing catering operation. Dont think it would pay the mortgage (or buy the petrol). Unless you are in a major city.
