Certain sections are available to members only.In response to privacy issues raised recently, we have moved the "Community and Family Matters" section to the members only part of the site. This, whilst not guaranteeing privacy in any way (anyone may become a member of the site), does at least mean that posts in that forum will not be picked up by Google and other search engines.
At the same time we have also moved the "Does It Really Matter" and "Chat" sections. A number of threads in those sections become both heated and repetitive and there is a noticeable downturn in new members registering while they are running. Our primary aims in establishing Downsizer were for it to be a resource for people wanting to live more sustainably and to build up a community of small, ethical traders. These aims have not changed, please bear this in mind when posting.
We, as moderators, would point out that this is not, in any way a discussion point, but a done deal.
