Chanterelles

I saw my first chanterelles of the year growing today. Only about 5 or 6. However, with the warm dry forcast I suspect they will dry and shrivel instead of more growing.

Wow, summer really is here.

Anyone had any more? We went for a scout around our 'early' spots this afternoon and it was dry as a bone, no signs of fungi life at all.

No edible fungi, but saw some little white jobs in the woods on Saturday.

I've been finding enough chanterelles to harvest since the end of May. Still plenty around.

Haven't noticed much else in the last a couple of weeks, just a few blushers and the odd agaricus.

Aye, that's really confident foraging!

Definitely Caesars - found some in the same area three years ago. Also very distinctive. Very Happy
