Chinese seaweedI have just heard of this and tried it - delicious!
Chinese seaweed.
Shred curly kale finely and either deep-fry or stir fry it (I stir-fried in a little butter) until crisp.
Sprinkle on a little sugar and a little salt (proportions as you like).
I was surprised how un-cabbagelike it was!
I suppose it would work with other brassicas - it would certainly jolly-up Brussels Sprouts!

It's great, isn't it? Haven't done it for years, but I remember how well it worked.
A little bit of 5-spice powder perks it up a treat as well.

That sounds really good; I'll have to give it a try.

I have baked shredded cabbage tossed in a little oil & curry paste before baking.
Ideal for kids that don't like brassicas.

I've just tried this with some red cabbage as I have a glut. It's very bitter, so you may want to avoid this.

The only way to cook red cabbage is with onions, apple, spices and a splash of (preferably balsamic) vinegar. IMVHO.
