Christmas fete stallI have been offered a pitch at the village Bazzar this Christmas - only £10 all other takings are mine...
It's a one off (obviously) and a chance to showcase what I am actually doing felt wise as well as making a bit of cash.
But I have commissions on the books which will take me at least two months to make, and that's without doing a "showpiece" for the stand - that leaves me two months to get a decently stocked stall together....
I was wondering about padding some of the felt brooches, hats, bags, baby boots, needlefelt kits and knitted Christmas socks with some chocolates and lollipops from the food group - good idea/bad idea?
Should I keep the stall just felt/knitting, or allow the food padding?

I'd go with the padding as long as it isn't more than about 1/3 of your stock.

seconded...and perhaps you could make more of the small things such as felted jewellery which don 't take so long and would be ideal for christmas presents and stocking fillers?

put together some baggies with about 60-100g of colourful fibre oddments in, and lable it up as fibre for spinning, felting and crafts. That will sell to people who arent in the market for a finished item but want something to play with, plus its a good way to clear away any shades you have too many of. Do some in Christmas sorts of colours too, then people will buy those for kids to stick to things and do crafts with.
