climate change billhey folks,I just got an email through from i-count.org - there is an early day motion (EDM 736) which puts forward important strengthening measures to the Climate Change Bill 2007 (slammed in the press last year for not considering latest science and sticking to a 60% emissions reduction target instead of the 80% minimum which scientists advocate, and not including emissions from UK shipping and aviation.) I did some research this morning and found that out of 257 mp signatories, only 4 are Conservative MPs. they are: Tony Baldry - Banbury Robert Key - Salisbury Robert Walter - North Dorset Tim Yeo - South If you live in a conservative controlled constituency, or have friends and family who do, now is the time to put pressure on these MPs and urge them to support this edm. If this bill goes through with some real teeth on it, it could ease and speed the process of greening up and powering down Britain.
