CockerelsAfter a year of peace and quiet my cockerels have started fighting. The big young one has become boss, the older bantam has taken it out on the weakest bantam cockerel. The weakest we have because he was nursed back to health as a chick, the biggest because he is a big handsome bird that I was considering breeding from. Realistically though he is not a good bird to have around with bantam hens. He is a Castle Farm Welsh Black http://castlefarmeggs.co.uk/. Would anyone local like him to breed from? He has been bred to produce good utility birds. I have some Welsh Black hens who are good layers. Otherwise I suspect he will be in the pot and hopefully things will settle down again.
