Coconut chutney



Ingredients


  • 1/2 coconut

  • 1 oz gram dhal

  • pinch of asafoetida

  • 6 green chillies

  • salt to taste

  • 1/4 pint yoghurt

  • 1 teaspoon oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds

  • 1/2 teaspoon urud dhal

  • 1 sprig curry leaves.




Recipe


  1. Grind grated coconut, chillies, gram dahl, asafoetida and salt to a smooth paste.

  2. Blend with the yoghurt.

  3. Heat the oil and fry the mustard seeds and urad dahl till it splutters.

  4. Add curry leaves.

  5. Pour over the yoghurt mixture and stir in.
