Commercial Vegetable JuicerFor better or worse, i've just purchased a commercial vegetable juicer. Other than making carrot juice and the like, I havent got a clue what to do with it.
I've got it at such a very reasonable price that I couldn't resist it. I havent got a clue about bottling and preseving the once extracted juice etc. It seemed like agood idea at the time, any help and advice of a practical nature would be much appreciated, surely there must be some mileage in it .

bottling fruit juice is fine---I use a steam juice extractor which sterilizes it and it keeps fine---unless you have a pressure canner I'd freeze any vegetable juice you want to keep---it can't be different to canning[bottling] vegetable soup---the risk of botulism is just too high to use waterbath or oven methods.

I was stopped by a friendly juicer the other day, it was asking me to buy it, but I managed to refrain and left it to hassle the next unsuspecting customer

Thats just being smug Fee. I just love a bargain even if it isn't one.
