Commercial water usage?

Does anyone know how much water is used commercially in the UK. A bit of googling found figures for domestic consumption (about 150 litres per person per day) but not commercial.

I suppose there is such a wide variation depending on the business - did you have any specific commercial user in mind? or are you looking for a global / national figure?

A national figure. An office argument about water usage raised the question "what percentage of the water that falls on the UK do people use?" Easy enough to find out domestic consumption (about 2% if my back of envelope calculation is right) but what if we include industry, offices, farming etc.

Not a figure but something to factor in to the discussion:

Quote: Average household water use for washing and drinking in the UK is about 150 litres a person daily, but we consume about 30 times as much in "virtual water", used in the production of imported food and textiles;

Taking virtual water into account, each of us soaks up 4,645 litres a day;
