CompostingDoes anyone know or have a link to a comprehensive yet understandable description of the current composting regulations? I'm not talking about garden composting but something on a larger scale.I know manure heaps need to be sited and looked after correctly but what about large heaps that don't contain manure? I'm thinking along the lines of gathering up an acre or two's worth of trimmings from rough, scrubby pasture. Also, if you import waste, for example a gardener might collect many clients waste clippings, does that require extra paper work & regs? |

I've had a good look at the WRAP site and couldn't find anything useful. It linked to the Environment Agency but then you just get lost in an never ending load of links and technical information that doesn't seem to answer what seems to be a simple question. 
However, this might cover it although its not clear if I need to register an exemption or if I would be exempt from registering and exemption.
