Crab potsMy better half is away this week so I had to go to the village to load credit for my phone, a job she usually does.
The village is about a mile and a half away along this beach...
I saw these at the village which must be the largest crab pots in the world....
About 4 ft sq and 6ft long, made out of woven bamboo with rocks at the base for weight.
The crab season is just starting though we've already had squid and cuttle fish.
A few more pics out of interest....a native house, thatch over bamboo frame...
A better view of the hills behind my house as seen from the village....
My stupid dog Buster trying to catch fish....
There are lots of young flat fish half buried in the sandy seabed that move only when you approach. Keeps Buster amused for hours.

Bloody inconsiderate - her going away like that and leaving you in the lurch !
Couldn't you survive a few days with a flat phone ?

I don't do phones.
Mine is a cheap Philippine make. I don't phone anyone but need it to report in to her who must be obeyed.
My better half has two, one for each of the main service providers. Both of these are touch screen, internet enabled all singing and dancing. I don't understand these phones, can't find the camera and if I do by accident I then can't find the photos.
I don't do phones.
Yesterday, not having received the usual instructions on how to spend my day, not to forget to feed the animals and numerous other orders I discovered that someone had forgotten to charge his phone. I could blame her for not reminding me...however, when charged, no credit. Oops. So off to the village.
I and Buster enjoy the walk, could have gone on the new bike but Buster refuses to ride pillion. Dog needs more training.

Ah shut up. If you expect us to feel sorry for you you are out of luck.
Just a teeny bit jealous.

Looks a nice walk Graham. How are you going to manage with nobody to remind you of all the odd jobs you need to do?
Do they catch spider crabs where you are to need such huge pots, or are they just very optomistic?

MR, I don't manage.
I plod along in a world of my own often stopping to admire the view.

Nice way to carry on. I seem to end up plodding on only to be interupted by other people rather a lot.
