Creating a community pond - health and safety issuesIn the Millennium Orchard there are some of us who want to build a pond. Can anyone point me in the direction of useful information, links, advice on the health and safety issues involved? What we dont' want to do is build a pond, ignore the H&S issues and then get sued when somebody drowns.

Try contacting your local BTCV, they do a lot of pond work so there should be someone clued up there. They might even give you a hand with the work.

Yup BTCV should know the ins and outs, probably worth talking to your local Wildlife Trust too.
