Derek's great adventure and he's off! Let him out this evening, with a house and feeding station close by. Took one look at the house and food, and then headed off into the trees and leaves.
Bye Derek, you'll be very missed, but I'm glad we managed to get you through the winter.

Fine. Ready to go, I think. Probably this weekend, up at Milton country park.

Finally got to see the elusive Russell an hour or so back. He seemed to be hanging around the wormery
Sheba was hanging round the back doorway looking concerned that there was an intruder in HER garden, and when I scattered a few handfuls of hedgehog food pellets, she had to try some as well.

Did you know the week-end forecast is for a spell of really cold weather? Might be worth hanging on to Snuffles for a few extra days.
And wishing Derek all the best in his new wild, world

Yes, I've just seen the forecast. Maybe next week then.
She'd be fine with a bit of cold weather now, she could snuggle up somewhere warm and not have to go out to eat for several nights now (which is usually the killer, I believe, hunting for food 'cos they're too skinny not to, in really cold weather).
