Unless you are completely cut off from the world you may have noticed that it's the 50th Anniversary for Doctor Who this month

Tonight on BBC2 there is The Science of Doctor Who with Brian Cox

And next Thursday also on BBC2 they will be showing the Mark Gatiss dramatisation of the start of the series - Adventures in Time and Space followed by the Triple Doctor Story on Saturday 23rd November 2013 - Day of the Doctor

BUT the BBC have today released a prequel story - Night of the Doctor AND it's magnificent - I may have squeeked quite loudly at work Very Happy

No. I'm saving myself for a child-free, wine-enabled evening of passion.

You only saw the "new" one via a wibbly wobbly mirror, but John Hurt was in the creedits as "War Doctor".

Yeah I think they are trying to show that John Hurt's Doctor has been around for a long time from a young man - if you look at the wibbly wobbly mirror it's a young John Hurt looking back and it's definitely his voice Very Happy

OK I may have watched it more than once!

The Buzzcocks that's on now, I think it's a repeat, but I swear they're all high...

Did anyone watch "An Adventure In Space And Time" last night?

I thought it was ruddy brilliant, and David Bradley as William Hartnell was superb Very Happy

ps - if you haven't seen it I'm not going to spoil anything, but there's a bit right near the end which is a complete choker Wink

I missed the Science of Doctor Who, which is all I would have been interested in.

I watched the first few episodes when William Hartnell was Doctor Who and found it too scary. Think I still would, so haven't gone back to it for the last 50 years. Thought I was younger than that when it started, but apparently not. Btw, watched Coronation Street when it first started too, but my excuse is I was very young at the time. Very Happy

The Science of Dr Who was not great, tbh. It'll be on iplayer, tho. robkb
