Does anyone have any nice products I can sell in my shop?Hi
I have recently opened an online shop www.selfsufficiencyshop.co.uk but the shelves are looking a bit sparse so far.
I would be interested to hear from any forum members who make or supply any products which would fit in with the self sufficiency theme.
Please keep it constructive
Thanks
Rich.

BrownBear Manufacturing Inc has an endless range of products which help small farmers be more self sufficient. I am assuming thats what you mean, rather than jars of Homemade pickle

PM the member Brownbear. However, I should warn you, he has a hatred of monkeys. Especially those with bare bums, iirc.

What was I thinking, setting up a meeting between a well meaning monkey and a well armed, known monkey hater on the internet!!

No, I hate all monkeys equally.
Also postmodernists.

Hi Dpack
PM on it's way.
I will be adding a load of chook stuff in the next week actually. I do like the idea of 1 to 1 tutoring. I'll have to think about how that could work.
Thank You

If you do get into selling wind turbines get rid of the one mounted on roof in your picture as they have never worked & have now been proven to USE more power then they produce.
edit to add
I see you do have a wind turbine for sale. Whilst they are a good well know make they are not realy suited to land locked house use. They need a high wind sustained speed not "normaly" found on land. With a low amp output. They are great sea turbines.

It's not mounted on the roof, it's located on a big pole
anchored to the ground 10 metres behind the house
Thanks for pointing it out though Richard, it's not meant
to be literal though... it's just an illustration. There's also a
bowsaw left in a log on the ground which Health and Safety
would have kittens about if they spotted it

LOL nice get out.
Tell that to BG as they are getting slated for their current tv advert showing the house getting its power plugged INTO its self not the correct way round.
H&S bah humbug bring back common sense & looking after yourself & accidents that are just that & not an income opportunity.
Richard
PS I dont know if its just my set up but if I click on a link then the pop up opens which I click (the item opens) but if I dont then move the mouse it keeps popping up over & over.
PPS just checked & it only does it on some & only till the page down loads all the pics so could be cos I am on a slow connection.

I've just emailed my web builder to see if he can fix that?
Thanks for pointing it out Richard
I have another couple of wind turbines to add to the shop, both made by Marlec in the UK. The bigger one is the Rutland 1803 which has a peak output of up to 750 watts. I've used their turbines for years and in my opinion they are the most reliable. the smaller ones are indeed great for boats as well as micro homes.

Ah - but you are seeking self-sufficiency are you not? And the council tax still has to be paid somehow and they don't take eggs or jam

Would you be interestd in turned things like tea light holders, mortar & pestles, rolling pins, bowls, plates etc. I am always on the lookout for outlets for my work. PM me if so.
To see the sort of thing I do have a look here
This a personal record so not everything here is still available
