Dog collarsDon't want to make my own - but does anyone here make them - I want one for OH dog for his birthday next week (OH not dog!) I was looking for a soft rolled leather for his ratdog JR. His old collar has rubbed all the hair of his neck. He is thin skinned, thin furred hates water the very antithesis of a JR really

We've had great stuff from these people -
http://www.dogstuff.co.uk/
We have this collar for our terrier.
They are excellent quality collars - we have their hound collars too - and great value, and a brilliant service

Yep - I have bookmarked that company already - so nice to here that you can recommend them - thanks - also another one that does coloured rolled ones - it should last his lifetime especially as it is never likely to get wet so I might justify spending the extra £10 that they cost.

You're lucky he doesn't like water. Our terrier was straight in the canal last night, in the pitch black, swimming furiously after something (I suspect a rat). Fortunately, he'd managed to get out himself by the time we got a torch on him I thought I was going to have to dive in and fish him out when I heard the splash

I like those Nanny - specially the purple leather greyhound one. Might think about a fabric one - they are very pretty.

they are quite beautiful i think and are nice and wide...lucy has a martingale one because she slips her collar every now and again, merlin's is just a standard collar but he does look quite handsome
we also bought some coats from them this winter and they were very kind and changed merlins for me, it was far too small despite being one of the bigger sizes
they did me a bespoke one for him at no extra cost
very good people

The fabric collar and lead sets look gorgeous. So do their Celtic collars - and they do them for Wolfhounds.
Must buy, must buy, must buy (collar and wolfhound to match - mmmmmm, dribble, dribble, drool)
Sorry
A friend made a leather collar for my wolfhound, with her name engraved on it. It was absolutely beautiful.
The buckle became quite stiff, over the years, though, and was quite difficult to undo.
But amazingly, when the dreaded day came that I had to take her to cross the Rainbow Bridge, as the vet put the injection into her leg, her collar just undid itself, and laid very gently onto the floor.
A moment that I will remember for all of my life

I've made a few collars and harnesses for our dogs. We have 2 rescued ex-racers, a 6yo Greyhound and an ancient whippet, and a black lab. The harness is for the lab, she's in training as an assistance dog for my partner
