Nice to see the local politico's supporting a locan firm!


Note BTW that the BBC's illustration shows a turbine installed in a really wretched position, sheltered by the house roof and in air bound to be made turbulent by the local trees that are rather taller than the house.
In such a location a turbine would: - generate much less than in a better exposed location, -make more noise and -wear out sooner.
Its almost a classic photo of a bad place to put a wind turbine...

People can recognise that a shady spot is bad for solar.
Isn't it similarly obvious that sheltered and/or turbulent places are equally bad for wind generation?

Mounting on tower blocks sounds more interesting, not least in the light of the British Wind Energy Association advice that clifftop sites should be avoided.
