Can't get my ruddy email to work with the new host.

Bum.

Gone are the days when a butler would take care of this sort of thing for one. Crying or Very sad

Would you like to borrow one?
tahir

What's the problem grizzly?

A spare butler. Now that is posh.
sean

It's essential now that they're entitled to time off and holidays and so on.
judith

Surely you can manage on your own for one day a year.
sean

What? Iron my own copy of the newspaper?
Jonnyboy

Your enormously long title has managed to bork the front page as well, so two IT problems for the price of one. Very Happy

Begginning to think even a sodding abacus would prove beyond my addled wits to understand.

I'm going to go and vandalise garden gnomes for a bit.

Be daring, go for a day creased, unwashed and unshaven. Just don't go down to the club.

In my simple turnip-addled mind, I had assumed that computers did what you told them to at once, without needing to sit down and have a think for a few hours. Then I assumed that any failure of things to work must be a result of ny own ineptitude.

Technology is designed to never be as good as you thought it would be, in order to build in the need for more technology. Like digital telly- they were right, the picture is much clearer, for the brief few seconds it flicks on & off whilst claiming there is no signal. At least with analogue you could sit & watch the programme through a snowstorm and at least know what was going on. Rolling Eyes
