duck Q - too old for eggs?

Is a 4 yr old duck past it?
We got a pair (1 duck, 1 drake)from Freecyccle a month ago. White aylesbury type. As yet she has not laid an egg. Is it just past the season for eggs or is she totally past it? Both are 4 yrs old (supposedly). Question

They have a nice house, big safe run and a bath of water to play in. Happy, friendly duckies Very Happy

Don't know much about ducks but my neighbours call ducks & indian runners have all but stopped.

The height of the summer season often sees ducks going off lay.

But are they still capable at 4?

Their powers wil be diminishing at this age but they should be more than capable of laying.
